Dreams Do Come True
The word dream conjures a vision of something distant and unreachable, some castle in the air that melts away with the rays of the morning sun. Especially if you grew up among dream killers, you will grow up to think that dreams are mere wishful thinking. Nothing can be further from the truth.
Dreams are actually a preview of the future, a future as real as today, but has not yet manifested because it's time has not come. There is a saying that no force can stop an idea whose time has come.
God gives us dreams to enable us focus on the future he has prepared for us. Without focus, we are heading nowhere fast.
For every God given dream, there is an in-built capability to bring it to pass. God never gives us a dream without a corresponding grace to follow through to
fulfillment. We have all it takes to run with the dream to the finish line. If it is not happening (absolutely no progress year in year out), look at the mirror. Ask the person staring back at you what is going on...
Dreams are real, as real as what your eyes can see and your hands can touch. The only difference is that it had not become flesh yet, for the naked eye to see and hands to touch, but with your imagination, you can preview the future, and by faith touch it.
Bringing your God given dreams to pass is not rocket science. It requires three very simple ingredients; faith, focus and follow through
Faith; Believe in God, believe in your God given ability (Believe in you). Do not look down on yourself.
Focus; Keep your eyes on where you are going, not to and fro, observing what the Joneses are doing. Have a goal (short term, medium term and long term), a plan and daily action items to move the plan towards the goal.
Follow Through: Keep on keeping on. Do not give up when the going gets rough or progress is not apparent. Stick through the night. Break of dawn comes right after midnight.
Although it is not easy, it is not complicated either. One step at a time does it.
Try this mind boggling exercise. Take one KOBO and multiply it by 2 every day for 30 days. You will end up with Millions of Naira (N10,737,418,24). Don't believe me, pick up your calculator and try it.
Now be truthful, if I offer you
a) N1,000,000.00 payable today
b) N0.01 (1 KOBO) to be doubled every day for 30 days
Now which one will you pick?
Very few people will go for (b). To be honest, if you are among the few with the foresight to go for (b), your wife may pack her bags and leave you, your people will say you are mad, they will disown you.
This is one of the major things that kills dreams, despising small beginnings. We all want the big payday to come upon us suddenly. We
don't want the menial task of doubling one Kobo thirty times. It is too demeaning. How dare you suggest it?
This is the main reason narrow is the road, and few that find it...
Very few people are willing to start from ground zero, make a choice, take a step and pay the price.
Dreams don't just come to pass, you have a major role to play. God will not impose it's
fulfillment on you. Fulfillment of your God given dream is optional. It is up to you. If you allow the fear of the unknown to hold you bound, remember "nothing ventures, nothing wins...". For a lot of folks, the best thing that ever happened to them was when they lost their jobs.
God in His infinite mercy intervened and gave them a big shove. They discovered purpose when they were forced to sink or swim. Still others, the loss of their jobs marked the beginning of the end of their lives. Different strokes for different folks.
Dreams are very real. Dreams do come true. Time will fail me to recount rags to riches stories around us and around the globe. Every minute that passes each day, somebody becomes a millionaire somewhere in the world. Every minute that passes each day, someone's dream comes true somewhere in the world.
It could be you. The choice is yours. My sincere prayer is that this article will help provoke the ressurection of your dead, buried, abandoned or comatose God-given dreams.
Go for your dreams
