Galleria JobZone - Disclaimer: Job Hunters Beware!!!

It has come to our notice that some advertisers whose vacancies are listed in this site do demand for money from applicants under various guises.

We feel constrained to reiterate, remind users and make it more plain still, that Galleria JobZone has absolutely no relationship with vacancies listed in this site, except a while ago when we advertised for Webmaster/Systems Administrator (which we explicitly stated was for NigeriaGalleria).

NigeriaGalleria is not a recruitment agency, but an online portal, and we have no plans in the near future of becoming a recruitment agency. Job vacancies listed on this site are submitted by employers and also culled from Tuesday/Thursday Guardian, and is posted FREE for your use AT YOUR OWN RISK.

What this means is that you should "shine your eyes well well". We receive many submissions from employers on a daily basis, and we do not have the manpower to go verify every submission, that is why we expect you to do your due diligence, and make up your mind to apply or not to apply.

On the subject of demanding money from applicants, Galleria JobZone believes it is wrong, immoral and unfair. Since we are not in that industry, we do not know if it is ethical or not.

Most "Recruitment Agencies" that demand for money from applicants are SCAMS. Some genuine ones do ask for "processing fees" which we do believe is still not right. Employers pay them to look for the right personnel for them, and turning round to ask for money from the same applicants is downright mean, and reminds us of the organization that won the crown for Most Corrupt Institution in Nigeria, that collects money from the accuser, and the accused. This is classical double dipping.

Looking for a job is already hard enough, especially if you have no job at hand, more so if it is since after leaving school. The small money that you have in your pocket, donated by family and well wishers is barely enough to move around, browse the web to look for jobs, make phone calls etc, for a recruiter to turn round to ask for "his cut". It is mean, to say the least.

Our advice: if anybody asks you for money, RUN!!!

Going forward, we at Galleria JobZone will continue to try our best to weed out questionable adverts to protect our visitors. This is not a guarantee that some smart Alecs will not slip through the cracks. It still behoves you, our esteemed visitor, to shine your eye well well.

Thank you for being a valued regular visitor of Galleria JobZone. Your dream job awaits. Don't give up hope...

Galleria JobZone Team
