The How Foundation is a Non-Profit Organisation founded by Dr Herbert Wigwe, the MD/CEO of Access Bank in January 2016. Dr Herbert Wigwe combined his passion for helping others especially children and the youth with the need to raise awareness around Malaria Eradication and Prostate Cancer.
The foundation has partnered with national and global organisations that share the same passion and drive around malaria, prostate cancer and youth empowerment. The focus around malaria is to help educate on the possibilities of malaria eradication in Nigeria and assist in providing tools/resources that help to fight against and prevent malaria. The attention on prostate cancer is to raise awareness and aid in the provision of tools which can enable professionals to erase the stigma around the disease in Nigeria.
The foundation also empowers youth with leadership and mentorship programs, developing various seminars and schemes aimed at providing youth with support to push them closer to achieving greatness. The following are past events held by the foundation;
With Dr Save a Life Foundation, Visit to Isiokpon (The Home of the Founder) on Saturday 28th May, 2016 to hand out 1 million free malaria nets to the community, performed Rapid Malaria Tests, distributed 1 million malaria prevention and treatment drugs to women and children and educate them on how to use these kits.
Saturday, 4th of September, visited Arrow of God Orphanage to hang out back- to school materials for children.
Antonia Ally is the CEO of The How Foundation, a non-profit organisation with special focus on Malaria, Prostate Cancer, Youth Leadership and Mentorship with over 5 years Sales & Marketing experience in the for-profit sector. A seasoned professional with a Bsc in Business Management and Marketing from Brunel University, United Kingdom. She is also a trained life coach from ICS, Scotland. Her passion for charitable affairs stemmed from a very young age as a result of her grandmother’s influence; a danish citizen who raised her to be involved in various charities and societies such as IWS.

The HOW Foundation is partnering with UK based company Genero to sponsor motivational speaker; Mr Joshua Ajitena on a Youth Leadership and Mentorship seminar in Lagos, Joshua speaks at numerous secondary schools all around the UK, this would be his first time speaking in Nigeria.
The theme of the program is “Be the Best”. The purpose of this seminar is to encourage young Nigerians to embrace innovation and creativity within themselves. In today’s workforce, passion and handwork are the recipes for great financial success, university is the best opportunity to explore a vast option of career paths and opportunities.
THE PROGRAM
The event would be held on Saturday, October 8th 2016 at Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, between 11:00am- 3:00pm (Include 1 Hour Lunch). The kids would be given materials during the seminar to take away with them.
