TOURISM IN RIVERS STATE
The Rivers State Ministry of Culture and Tourism is entrusted with the formulation and implementation of policies to promote culture and tourism with a view to stimulating economic growth in the state. The ministry's mandate is to "Put in place programmes and events that attract international, national and local tourists.

Rivers State has many beautiful tourist sites to behold such as Cultural Centre, Port Harcourt, Finima Beach, Port Harcourt Tourist Beach, Statue of King Jaja of Opobo etc.

There are other tourist fascinations in River State apart from the aforementioned, and these include the Rivers State Museum located within the secretariat complex of the state government, the Cultural Centre on Bonny Street, the statute of King Jaja of Opobo, the Biseni Forest located north-west of Ahoada, the Okrika Aquatic Stadium, and the Water-glass Boatyard among many others.
