The Alliance for Population Health International (APHI) is pleased to announce the workshop on Introduction to Monitoring and Evaluation for Nigerian population, health, policy, legislative and development professionals. The three day-day course will be held from January 10-12, 2016 in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The course will expose the relevant participants to the fundamentals of monitoring and evaluation and increase participants’ capacity to collect, analyze, interpret, and use performance data for decision making. Both participants and their sending organizations will be able to utilize the expanded capacity obtained from taking the course to account for performance in existing programs as well as increase the opportunity to secure new ones.
The course is designed for professionals with development, policy, legislative, M&E and/or research portfolios with, at least, a Bachelor’s degree. Students who are working on their Masters and PhD degrees in population, health and development fields and are looking for avenues to develop careers M&E or increase employability in the international development field are also welcome.

The total cost of the course is US$375.00 for graduate students and professionals working in the public sector. It is US$400 for participants in the private sector and those working with international organizations and covers course materials, tea breaks and lunches for all three days. Participants coming from out of State will be responsible for their own lodging and transportation costs. The course agenda appears below.
