Nollywood Shines Bright: Femi Adebayo and Chioma Chukwuka Lead Nigeria’s Big AMVCA Wins.

The 11th AMVCA, held at Eko Hotels and Suites on May 10, 2025, showcased Nigeria’s storytelling prowess, drawing A‑list talent, industry leaders and packed audiences to honour the best of African screen art. Femi Adebayo and Chioma Chukwuka emerged as the evening’s brightest stars, winning Best Actor and Best Actress for their riveting performances in Seven Doors, underscoring Nollywood’s capacity to produce world‑class dramatic work.

Beyond the acting awards, Seven Doors also triumphed with Best Original Score, highlighting the film’s technical artistry and the growing depth of Nigeria’s creative crews. The event introduced a new Best Music Score category—won by Tolu Obanro—spotlighting the importance of every cinematic craft in bringing bold Nigerian stories to life.
