United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) has been named the strongest brand in Nigeria for 2024, according to the latest report by Brand Finance. This marks a significant leap for the financial institution, which moved from ninth place in the previous year to secure the top position.

Top National Rating Backed by Global Recognition

The annual ranking, conducted by Brand Finance, an independent global consultancy known for its brand valuation expertise, assigned UBA a brand strength score of 92.4 out of 100. This performance earned the bank an elite AAA+ rating—the highest rating among all Nigerian brands reviewed.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, UBA’s elevated ranking is the result of its outstanding performance in critical metrics such as brand familiarity, customer preference, and market consideration within Nigeria. Notably, UBA also secured the 13th position globally among 500 evaluated banking brands, reflecting its expanding influence on the international stage.

Commenting on the achievement, Alero Ladipo, Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at UBA, attributed the success to strategic planning and customer-centric initiatives.
