King of Boys sequel debuts as first Nigerian original series on Netflix.

King of Boys: The return of the king, one of Nollywood’s most anticipated movie has dropped on the online streaming platform Netflix as the first original series out of Nigeria.

The movie dropped on Friday. It is a sequel to the original King of Boys released in 2018.××

It is the story of an underworld political king who was ousted and sent on exile for many years.

That king is set to return to reclaim the crown and rule over both the underworld and the entire state.

Produced by Kemi Adetiba, the film features veteran actress Sola Sobowale, playing the lead role of Eniola Salami aka Laburu, the ‘King of Boys’ and other A-list actors like like Richard Mofe-Damijo, Toni Tones, Charley Boy, amongst others.

Adetiba warns against piracy

According to the producer, the movie is only available for viewers on the Netflix platform and warned against viewing on pirated platforms.

While celebrating the release on her social media page, she wrote that fans who view the movie on platform other than Netflix are doing the ‘movement’ a disservice.

Adetiba wrote, “Of all factions, in all countries, of all races, sex and ethic groups and tribes. Let’s go!

“As soldiers, you do the movement a disservice if you watch from any other platform other than Netflix.

“If you’re not watching on Netflix, you’re watching illegally. We don’t move like that and it does nothing for our battle.

“Thank you guys for the honour of both a leading and serving. This is a moment of history. Let’s enjoy every second of it!”
