Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva, Ego Boyo, and Akin Omotoso were among the personalities spotted at the opening show of the Lights Camera Africa!!! Film Festival 2017. The 3-day cultural fiesta opened on Friday, 29 September, 2017 at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Hosted by popular actress and thespian, Kemi Lala Akindoju, a preview of Akin Omotoso’s new film ‘A Hotel called Memory’ dominated the night, with Film Director, Femi Odugbemi, moderating a session on the Nse Ikpe Etim-featured film.

About Lights Camera Africa!!!

Launched in 2011, the event has grown to become one of Africa’s landmark cultural events – with this year’s festival set to present a series of film works and conversations that examine issues in various spheres – including politics, science and the arts.

In addition to screenings the Lights, Camera, AFRICA!!! Film Festival also hosts a variety of workshops, seminars and talks that offer learning opportunities for film makers and consumers.
