FCMB Announces New Board Members

First City Monument Bank Limited (FCMB) has added Ademola Adebise and Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adedibu to its board of directors.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the bank highlighted Adebise as a prominent figure in Nigeria’s financial sector, while Adedibu was recognized for her extensive legal expertise and experience in banking.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has approved their appointments as non-executive directors of the bank.

Adebise, a veteran banker with over 30 years of experience, previously served as the managing director of Wema Bank Plc and is currently the chairman of the board of directors at Family Homes Funds Limited.

He earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and an MBA from Lagos Business School. Additionally, he is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Adebise has also completed executive programs at renowned institutions including the University of Cambridge and Harvard Business School.

The bank noted that Adedibu, who currently serves as the group general counsel and company secretary for FCMB Group, brings nearly 32 years of post-graduation experience to the board.

Adedibu holds a Bachelor of Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Master of Law from the University of Lagos, and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School.

Her legal career began with the law firm Chris Ogunbanjo and Co., where she gained significant experience in litigation, company law, copyrights, and patent laws before transitioning to the banking sector.
