Okezie started his career right after graduating from the University of Abuja, Nigeria with a degree in Business Administration and a major in Marketing in 2005. Since then, he has worked at PR & Communications agencies as well as management and recruitment consulting firms based in Nigeria, France and the United Kingdom.

In 2007, Okezie helped start-up CareersNigeria.com, a leading online recruitment portal and was hired in 2009 to help start-up an information search portal for Nigeria similar to Yahoo!. Prior to that, in 2008, he was appointed as an industry expert for ITNewsAfrica, a leading independent online publication with the objective of changing perceptions and exposing opportunities around the African continent. In 2011, he joined NEXT, a revolutionary Nigerian news publication, where he was part of the digital content team and contributed business and technology stories for the news venture.

His articles have featured on Memeburn[5], NEXT, Technology Times, BBC Focus On Africa, to mention a few and his opinion has been cited and quoted on several local and foreign media publications such as CNN, the BBC and VentureBeat.

A serial digital media entrepreneur, Okezie co-founded Sowambe! in July 2010, a social media lifestyle brand which launched the first-ever social media awards in Nigeria and South Africa .

TechLoy
In 2008, Okezie rose to Internet prominence after founding Startups Nigeria , a technology blog about Internet start-ups and products with an international focus on Nigeria.

In June 2009, Okezie continued his coverage of Internet companies and technology news through his personal blog and two years later, he eventually re-branded his technology blog as TechLoy with the goal of becoming a leading technology media and research company in Africa. In May 2010, Okezie became famous for breaking the story about the first Android-based tablet called Inye developed by a Nigerian-UK based company, Encipher Group for the African market which CNN and the BBC have described as Africa’s answer to the iPad .

TechLoy was selected as one of the participating technology media companies at the maiden edition of the New York Forum Africa held in Libreville, Gabon in June 2012.
