Early Life

Vincent Enyeama is a goalkeeper at OSC Lille. He was born on 29 August 1982 in Kaduna (Nigeria). His professional career started in 1999 when he joined Ibom Stars for which he played in 56 matches.

In 2001 the player caught the eye of the local football club Enyimba and resolved to acquire a young goalkeeper. He represented the new club over a period of three years and was an effective element of the team. In three years he featured in 100 games and netted 10 goals. He is one of the few goalkeepers in the world with goal scoring abilities.

In 2005 Vincent moved to Iwuanyanwu Nationale for a short period of time where he appeared in 36 matches.
In 2005 he earned a call-up from Israeli football club Bnei Yehuda with which he signed a contract for two years until 2007. In that club Enyeama performed the role of the first-choice goalkeeper and participated in 56 matches.

In 2007 he attracted the attention of Hapoel Tel Aviv that at that time were in search of a substitute for their first goalkeeper. In four years spent in the club Vincent made 113 appearances and contrived to score 8 goals.

In 2011 Ligue 1 Lille were looking for a second-choice goalkeeper and found Enyeama who looked for an opportunity to play in Europe. In the summer of 2011 he officially became Lille player.

In the summer 2012 though he got back to Israel to join Maccabi Tel-Aviv on loan. Since the start of 2013/2014 season Enyeama has been the main goalkeeper of OSC Lille.

Since 2002 he has participated in almost 100 matches for the Nigeria national team.
