In honour of Africa Day on 25 May, Africa Fashion Week London is hosting the very first ZOOM meet-up of the founders of Africa Fashion Weeks around the world. In attendance will be Middle East, Colombia, Amsterdam, Poland, Trinidad and Tobago, Los Angeles and Africa Men’s Fashion Week. We will celebrate each other’s accomplishments and encourage each other’s resilience as we proudly promote our African heritage, educate and attract the commercial, cultural and developmental opportunities in Africa and its Diaspora. Also in attendance will be the African Fashion Foundation and the Federation of African Fashion and Creatives Industries. |

Africa Fashion Week Colombia Africa Fashion Week Colombia (AFWC) pays tribute to the 12 million Afro Colombianos and their tremendous 26 % contribution to Colombia’s economy, increasing their visibility promoting cultural identity. This international event is promoted by model and designer Belky Arizala, goodwill ambassador for Unicef Colombia and has grown into a world-class event. |
 Africa Fashion Week LA Africa Fashion Week LA is a premier multi-day fashion event that presents the latest looks from designers of African decent or with ties to the African continent. AFWLA is the only event that focuses on highlighting African diversity and culture during Los Angeles Fashion Week, allowing established and emerging designers to showcase their talents.  Africa Mens Fashion Week Ntori Armah Joey is the award winning CEO of Jsite Management Agency which organises Africa Mens Fashion Week.  Africa Fashion Week Warsaw Ene Daniluk is the President of Experience Africa Foundation Warsaw, Poland. Which promotes Africa in a positive way .Africa Fashion Week Warsaw is one of the biggest cultural events organized by the foundation. It started in 2016 and within few years attracted the media attention and received the patronage of Polish Parliament. |
 Diane Carlton – Trinidad & Tobago Diane Carlton Stacey Weekes – Benjamin is the Founder and Creative Director of the Trinidad and Tobago fashion label, DIANE CARLTON. The brand aesthetic is committed to a bold, contemporary, yet classic-chic style palette which boasts of a clear Caribbean charm. Teeming with inspiration from Stacey’s extensive travels and African influences, the label is building a solid reputation for its well constructed garments that are timeless and in some cases, quite eclectic.  International Festival of African Fashion Alphadi, «The Magician of the Desert», is one of the most renowned African designers in the world. Nigerien, trained at Chardon Savard design studio in Paris, he was mentored by the greatest designers: Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Paco Rabanne who allowed him to take his first steps in the Haute Couture and to achieve an international reputation. In 1994, Alphadi was appointed President of the African Federation of designers. In 1998, Alphadi founded the International Fashion Festival in Africa – FIMA. In 2015, Alphadi was named by UNESCO as an Artist for Peace.  Africa Fashion Week Middle East The founders of AFWME aspire to promote designers with either African and Middle East heritage. AFWME seeks the unique, eccentric, untold stories and bring awareness to the vast creativity of our regions. We aim to add sustainable value to the designer’s journey, we intend to celebrate our everlasting economic ties, rich cultural similarities and traditions that have sparked much needed dialogue, we seek timeless stories woven through art and fashion waiting to be shared on our platform. |
