The All Africa Horticultural Congress, organized by the International Society for Horticultural Science will take place from 7th August to the 12th August 2016 at the IITA Conference Center in Lagos, Nigeria. The conference will cover areas like horticultural scientists realised that an exchange of their views and experience should be promoted internationally in order to globalise their national or even regional efforts. The first International Horticultural Congress was organised in 1864 in Brussels (Belgium) as a first step in realising this objective. With the organisation of this congress followed by he next event one year later in Amsterdam (Netherlands), the seeds of our actual International Society for Horticultural Science were planted.
