Following the success of the African Women in the Media 2017 symposium (#AWIM17), the 2018 conference continues the objective of bringing together media practitioners and scholars in the field of media and communications.

Airport Transfers and Hotel Bookings
Butterfly Tourism are the official partner for the airport transfer and hotel bookings for the conference. Please complete this form to indicate your booking needs . They will have vehicles at the airport to take you to your hotel in Ibadan but these must be prebooked. The rate per transfer from Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos to Ibadan, is $44 for a shared bus with other delegates which has been discounted for the conference. Hotels start at $35 per night.

Yemisi Akinbobola is an award-winning journalist and founder of Stringers Africa, and IQ4News. She is the award leader for MA Global Media Management at Birmingham City University. Her research interest is in digital journalism and African feminism. She has also worked in the charity sector where she has several years’ experience in communication management.
