A Look at the Forerunners for the EPL Title in 2023.

The Race for the English Premier League Title

The English Premier League’s 2022-23 season is in its home stretch. With each team having between 7 and 9 more games left, it’s pretty clear who the favorites for relegation are. It looks like Southampton and Nottingham Forest are shoo-ins for the walk of shame. It will likely be a toss-up between Leicester and Everton for the third team to get the boot.

However, football fans are probably more interested in knowing which team will clinch the title. If you think you know the answer, then check out the top Betting Sites Nigeria 2023 to get the best odds and maybe a free bet or two. For now, let’s go over the few remaining contenders.

Newcastle

Newcastle sits in fourth place. With eight games left on the schedule, they find themselves as a long 2000/1 uber-long shot to win the title. It will take more than a miracle for them to even have a shot at winning it as they are 18 points back of Arsenal and 14 points behind Man City. As Betting Offers Finder product owner Tony Sloterman so eloquently points out, you’d have to be the most optimistic of optimists to think Newcastle could catch one of those teams. You are completely delusional if you think New Castle can catch both of them.

Man United

Man United appears to have a slightly better chance of overtaking Arsenal and Man City than the aforementioned Newcastle squad. Still, the 2000/1 odds tell us that they have a snowball’s chance in Hades. Man United currently sits in third place 15 points back of Arsenal and 11 back of Man City. They essentially need to win out and have both forerunners completely collapse. Good luck with that! Man City hasn’t won it in nine years, and it doesn’t look promising this year.

Man City

Man City might be four points behind Arsenal for the EPL title, but they have a game in hand along with a pretty favorable schedule to look forward to. These are significant reasons why Man City is the current odds-on favorite to win the title. Bookmakers have them listed at 4/9. A lot will be decided on April 27th when they face Arsenal. Man City cruised to a 3-1 win over their rivals in their previous meeting.

There are a variety of factors that make Man City so strong this year. For starters, they lead the league in goals with 78 which comes out to 2.6 goals per game. They are also giving up a stingy .83 goals per game which ranks them #2 in that category behind Newcastle. This is a team that has won the last two consecutive titles and four in the past five seasons.

Arsenal

It’s been nearly 20 years since Arsenal won the English Premier League. You can bet your bottom dollar that they are going to give it their all to hold off a surging Man City. Despite the four-point cushion, which isn’t much of a cushion, they find themselves priced at 15/8 to win it. It doesn’t help that they have only seven games left while Man City has eight. Even if they can notch the win against Man City on April 27, their remaining schedule isn’t quite as easy as Man City’s. It should be an entertaining stretch run, to say the least.
