Organizer of Breaking the Stalemate: The Fight against Insurgency in Northeast Nigeria
Since 2009 Boko Haram has unleashed violence against Nigerians communities and our neighbours. As many as 1,639 violent attacks have resulted in 14,436 fatalities, 6,051 injured victims and 2,063 hostages across the Northeast. Despite numerous claims of Boko Haram’s defeat and the assassination of its leader, the insurgents remain resilient.
This Security Policy Dialogue seeks to identify potential missed opportunities required to build sustainable peace and development in the Northeast region of Nigeria.
