CIBN to honour eminent personalities at fellowship investiture

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has concluded arrangement to admit a new set of over 250 qualified and experienced members who have distinguished themselves in the banking industry into the Fellowship cadre of the Institute on Saturday, October 30, 2021 by 11.00am at Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos 

Dr. Bayo Olugbemi, FCIB, the President/Chairman of Council of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, will be the Chairman of the occasion while Dr. Kenneth Opara, Ph.D, FCIB, 1st Vice President will be the Chief Host supported by Mr. Seye Awojobi, Registrar/CE.

Dr. (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director General, World Trade Organization (WTO); the Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Kingsley Obiora; the MD/CEO, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Mr. Hassan Bello; the Former Director, Financial Policy & Regulation Department, CBN, Dr. Kevin Amugo; the Former Director, Special Insured Institutions, NDIC, Mr. Joshua Etopidiok; the MD/CEO, Keystone Bank Limited, Mr. Olaniran Olayinka; the MD/CEO, Globus Bank, Mr. Elias Igbinakenzua; the MD/CEO, Rand Merchant Bank, Nig Ltd, Mr. Michael Larbie; the MD/CEO, SunTrust Bank Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Halima Buba; the MD/CEO, Coronation Merchant Bank, Mr. Banjo Adegbohungbe; the MD/CEO, Nova Merchant Bank; Mr. Nath Ude; the MD/CEO, Aso Savings & Loans Plc, Hajia Risikatu Ahmed, HCIB; the Founder and Chairman, Proshare Nigeria Limited, Mr. Femi Awoyemi; the MD/CEO, SystemSpecs Nigeria Limited, Mr. John Obaro; the Vice Chancellor, Adeleke University, Ede Osun State, Prof. Solomon Ajayi Adebola, are among eminent bankers who will be formally conferred with the Fellowship of the Institute.

Out of the 258 awardees to be honored, nineteen (14) would be conferred Honorary Fellows; 93 Associates will become Fellows and 51 will be admitted as Honorary Senior Members of the Institute.

Mr. Nelson Olagundoye, Head of Corporate Communication & External Relation of the Institute, in a statement, said the honour is in recognition of the awardees’ meritorious services, commitment to professional responsibilities and valuable contributions to the industry in particular and the economy in general.
