Cross River unveils 100 beds centre

Cross River State has unveiled a 100-bed Isolation Centre. It is located at Adiabo, on the outskirt of the metropolis.

The ceremony took place when a team from the Federal Government, led by officials from the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control visited the state.

The State which is yet to record any COVID-19 case took the visiting team to the facilities in preparation for any eventuality of a COVID-19 case.

The facilities visited; besides the Adiabo Isolation centre with 100 beds are the laboratory facility at Dr. Lawrence Henshaw Memorial Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, the Garment Factory where some Personal Protective wears are produced as well as the intensive Unit Isolation centre at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital.
