Another Nigerian woman, Funke Adekoya (SAN), has achieved a milestone in her legal career as she won the Partner of the Year award at the African Legal Awards 2019 on Friday, September 6.

Business Day reports that the legal award recognises sterling achievement in the continent’s legal services industry.

To qualify, a person’s record of unique leadership, strong legal resourcefulness with success results, good client management, and community contribution are all tested.

Funke has had over 40 years of practice with different awards and wide acclaim to show for her excellence in commercial law and cooperative dispute. She has also represented different clients in various sectors.
