Funke Akindele Speaks On Winning Lagos Election With Her Over 20 Million Social Media Followers.

Nollywood actress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship candidate, Funke Akindele has opened up on using her massive social media followers to win the Lagos State Gubernatorial election in 2023.

In a snippet of her interview on Channels TV, Funke opined that she has a huge number of followers just like the governorship candidate Jandor, who has a good number of supporters.

According to the mother of two, she has over twenty million followers on social media who would support her to emerge as winnner.

When reminded of the popular cliche that ‘politics is not on social media’, Funke said she has a lot of fans at the grassroots.

The actress added that she is tired of talking and typing but wants a positive change and she is getting into power to proffer solutions to challenges.

In her words: “He has the numbers, I have the numbers, I’ve fans and followers and I have been true to myself. I have over 20 million followers on social media and the grassroots is a lot for me. The grassroots are my fan, they film me, you know that outside of Ikorodu.

“What I’m coming for is to better the lives of Lagosians. I’m tired of typing and talking, I want a positive change, I want to get into power to profer solutions to the major public with my supportive governor.”
