Godwin Maduka Wins 2019 ‘Man Of The Year’ Award

A renowned United States based Nigerian Medical Doctor, Chief Godwin Maduka has won the 2019 ‘Man of the Year Award’ after he was nominated by well meaning Nigerians for his numerous achievements in both Nigeria and other countries.

Dr. Godwin Maduka was voted by Nigerians ahead of Four other nominees: Gov. Sheyi Makinde, Aliko Dangote, Allen Onyema and Akinwumi Adesina.

Dr. Maduka who hails from Umuchukwu, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria has also touched many lives through his Godwin Maduka Foundation.

On Tuesday, IgbereTvAwards Media crew paid a visit to Umuchukwu, Maduka’s Community to have assessment of the amazing transformations.

On arrival, the crew led by the Director of Igbere TV, Emeh James Anyalekwa were warmly received by Dr. Maduka’s younger brother, Barr. Kenneth Maduka who took them around the community and nearby villages to witness the unparalleled transformation by the singular effort of the philanthropist, who built the popular 17 floor skyscraper in his village, the tallest private hospital in Africa.

Dr. Maduka also built over 100 houses for indigent people and widows within his community and beyond.

He also built magnificent duplexes for the King of the community, Catholic Priests , Anglican Priests, and 5 of his Aides.

Other structures sighted by Igbere TV crew in Umuchukwu built and donated by Dr. Maduka include:

1) two cathedrals, one each for the Anglicans and Catholics.

(2) built Four Storey Trinity Hospital and Maternity.

(3) Built Immaculate Conception International College 1 and 2 , with buses donated to them.

(4) he built a police station for security personally commissioned by former Police IG, Mike Okiro

(5) Built a magnificent magistrate court.

(6) A standard market called (Afor Market) containing over 500 roofed open stalls, and over 100 lock up stores all given out free of charge to traders.

(7) Built world class barracks for the Civil Defense staff.

 built two monasteries for churches.

(9) built community centre (Community Hall and his own Village Hall).

(10) built post office.

(11) built a state of the art high court.

(12) provided transformers to boost electricity in the community.

(13) built mighty edifices for primary and secondary schools.

(14) built a gigantic palace for the monarch, civic centre, and donated a brand new SUV to the Monarch.

(15) constructed 3 Bridges linking community with nearby villages

(16 built Five star hotel known as Lion of Africa resort.

(17) Constructed over 100 Km road network within Umuchukwu and other communities

(18) Donated Innoson Security trucks to Police and other security agencies.

(19) The 17 storey tall building is part of the World class International standard Hospital / Health research institute (which will serve as the destination of all health matters in Africa, since it will be the biggest and the best of it kind in African soil).

(20) And many other too numerous to mention.

Igbere TV Award has been scheduled to hold on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Sheraton Hotel Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari who has been nominated by Nigerians for ‘2019 Integrity Award’ will also double as Special Guest of Honour.

Governors, Senators, Ministers, and other dignitaries will equally grace the occasion.
