ITTF rankings: Aruna Quadri delighted to become world number 11

African star boy Aruna Quadri has moved five places in the latest ITTF rankings.

Aruna Quadri who had an excellent 2021 breaking records and winning titles, deservedly moved into the top eleven.

In 2021 he defeated German great Timo Boll to win the City of Barcelona ITTT title – he was the first ever African to win the title.

Aruna Quadri also became the first African player ever to be listed for WTT Cup finals where he got to the quarterfinal.

It was a remarkable year for Aruna Quadri and his feat was rewarded with his latest ranking as he becomes the 11th best player in the world.

Egypt’s Omar Assar moved five places up to occupy 25th.

Yousra Helmy gained eight places up to be rated 81st in the world ranking.

Edem Offiong hit top 100 after gaining nine steps up the ranking as the third best female player in Africa.
