Mortgage bank appoints new independent director

Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank’s Board of Directors has appointed Olufemi Fabanwo as an independent non-executive director of the bank.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the company’s secretary, Tolu Osho.

The appointment took effect on April 3, 2023, but it is subject to the shareholders’ ratification at the bank’s next Annual General Meeting.

Fabamwo is an accomplished banker with a banking career spanning three and a half decades in the Central Bank of Nigeria until 2017.

He served in various capacities as director of other financial institutions

supervision department between 2010 and 2014.

He superintended over the regulation, supervision and reform of primary mortgage banks, finance companies, development finance institutions, microfinance banks, and bureaux de change.
