Kenya, Nairobi based African art gallery, Usanii is set to hold maiden edition of her exhibition in Lagos on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 August, 2016 at the British council office in Ikoyi.
Usanii is envisioned to be the industry leader fostering the sustainability of People, Culture, and Economy in the African Art space. It will bridge the gap as it strives for transparency between talented African Artists, Curators, Art collectors, Museums and Galleries showcasing what’s hot in the Contemporary African Art space.
The exhibition will serve as an enabling tool for the exhibiting Artists to showcase masterpieces to a selected audience, illustrating a range of subjects, uniquely captured through each Artist’s personal interpretation of the day-to- day life faced by every Nigerian.
With an ethos to developing the communities in which we all live in, Usanni has pledged to donate part of the proceeds from this exhibition to Mamamoni; an organization who since its 3 years in existence have created notable impact in rural and urban slum communities.
Partners of the exhibition include The British Council, Pulse, Mamamoni, and The Guardian Nigeria.
