MIYAN YAKWA

Recipe for four servings

REQUIREMENTS

- 1 medium heap soft bones
- 1 medium size smoked fish
- 2 cups Raw groundnut paste
- 4 large sizes fresh tomato (ground)
- 4 medium size tatashe
- 4 large sizes fresh pepper (ground)
- 1 medium size onion
- 1 small bunch Yakwa leaves
- 1 teaspoon Yaji
- 1 cake Dawadawa
- 2 cooking spoons Vegetable oil
- 4 Maggi cubes
- 1½ litre Water
- Salt to taste. What you do

Wash the soft bones and season with yaji.Steam for about 15 minutes.

Grind the tomato, onion, Dawadawa, pepper and tatashe to a smooth paste.

Heat the vegetable oil for few minutes. Add the ground ingredients and fry for about 10 minutes.

Add the fish and the soft bones together with the stock. Stir and add the remaining water and the Maggi cubes.

Pick, wash and shred the Yakwa leaves.Add to the soup. Reduce the heat and add the groundnut paste.Allow simmering for about 10 minutes.Stir and add salt to taste.

Remove from heat and serve.
