The Youth boot camp for leadership and civic engagement project is designed to increase young people’s engagement starting from the local to the federal level. This bootcamp is presented by Ford Foundation in partnership with The Future Project.
The 5-day intensive leadership program will enable young leaders play a major role in agitating for greater accountability within their respective local governments.
Topics to be covered include; budget and budget monitoring, negotiation and conflict management, communication skills, local government and its operations, use of technology as well as lead movements in their local communities to achieve accountability at all levels of government etc. The training will also feature top-notch facilitators from a wide range background to share their insights.
The Youth boot camp for leadership and civic engagement will hold in the following locations:
Abeokuta, Ogun state between June 28 – July 2, 2017.
Lagos state between July 4 – 8, 2017
Ibadan, Oyo state between July 11 – 15, 2017
Participants who have exceptional leadership profile as well as ability to impact their community, state or the nation should apply for this program. Only successful applicants will be contacted.
