Mungo Park Cenotaph Kwara State

In memory of the European explorer, Mungo park, a monument was erected in Jebba between the twin bridges which serves as a tourists attraction.
Location/Accessibility: Located in Jebba in Kaiama LGA and it is accessible by road.
Acomodation: Availability in Jebba and in near town like Mokwa at affordable rates.





Time of visiting: All round the year.
Remember Mungo Park? He was the first westerner to explore the River Niger.
The cenotaph was built in remembrance of the shipwreck he had there when he was trying to trace the source of the Niger.
