Peperuwa Lake Nasarawa State

Peperuwa Lake is an elongated natural lake situated at the North-West of Assaikio town in Lafia LGA of the State. It is about 50km away from the State Capital, Lafia, with 6km drive on Assaikio-Tunga-Nupawa road. The Lake surface is estimated at over 7km length and 3.8km wide.



The lake is famous for water aquatics such as manatees, fish, hippopotamus, water ducks and geese (ibid: 3). The Lake have significant potentials for swimming, sport fishing, picnicking, game viewing, camping, etc.
