Multi Level Internet Marketing

Multilevel marketing is also a form of affiliate marketing. Unlike affiliate marketing, there is a network involved at different levels, hence the term "multilevel" marketing. Instead of one off sales, you recruit your customers to join your team (down line), and you get to earn commissions from their sales, down to sales from people they recruit.

It is an excellent way to earn residual income almost indefinitely. It is also a good place to learn networking and marketing, if that is your path.

Multi-level marketing is not for all comers. You need to have a flair for marketing before you join. The talent has to be there. If not, the down line will turn to deadline, and ends with you. That is the problem with a lot of multi-level marketing programs like GNLD, Forever Living Products, and Tianshi etc. If you can sell, the sky is your limit. If you can't, the products will be staring at you. Then the bad carpenter will start quarrelling with his tools. There is nothing wrong with the program. People have made millions out of it, and are still making. The problem comes when every Tom, Dick and Harry is railroaded in to join with promises of el dorado, folks that cannot sell, even if they had a gun pointed to their head.

This is the weakest link with these programs that have down lines. It needs a solid chain of salespeople to work. And most folks are brought up to go look for a job, not start businesses and learn how to sell, and to overcome rejection.

Some multi-level schemes are scams. Here you have a pyramid scheme that has no underlying product or service it is promoting, but asks people to bring in money, and then go get others to bring in money, while you wait for your turn to "reap". When showed the expected returns, people allow greed to take over. They switch off their brains and allow greed to do the thinking. They put in their hard earned money, and go out to recruits other fools, usually friends and close acquaintances to part with their money. This cash inflow is used to pay off early birds that joined the scheme in the early days. These pay-offs become a selling point to draw in more fools. They rush in, and as the saying goes, the fool and his money will soon part ways. Everything that has a beginning has an end. When all greedy folks that can be recruited has been recruited, and the critical point is reached whereby cash coming in is not enough to settle pay-offs due, it comes down to the game of musical chairs, where those theft standing at the whistle are out of the game. Only this time, they are not only out of the game, but out of pocket too. They kiss their hard earned money goodbye.

Joining a multi-level marketing team effectively means being recruited to join a sales team. If you cannot sell, and are not passionate about the product you are selling, you better take a walk, and go do something more useful with your time, energy and resources.
